Early pregnancy advice
Most people book in to see a Midwife at between 6 and 10 weeks. Before this, it is important to try to maintain a healthy lifestyle, which would include eating healthily, quitting smoking if you are able, and avoiding alcohol.
Pregnancy vitamin supplements are advised from as soon as you know you are pregnant (or ideally when tying to conceive) – some more advice on this can be found here: http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/vitamins-minerals-supplements-pregnant.aspx
