Repeat prescriptions procedure
Requests for repeat medication can be made as follows:
- You can place your repeat request slip in the Letter Box at the entrance to the surgery.
- You can post your repeat slip via Royal Mail, correctly addressed to the Surgery. If you wish us to post your prescription to you, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope
- You can order your repeat medication on line via a secure website, once registered with the surgery. Click here for the link to Patient Access (Please note this is the replacement for EMIS, your existing ID and Password will still be valid).
Two full working days notice are required for a repeat prescription to be ready excluding weekends and bank holidays. However please note that your new prescription will only be available for collection a maximum of 5 working days before their due date, unless you give us a reason why it is needed sooner i.e. on holiday.
Patients that live more than one mile from a chemist can collect their medication direct from the surgery 4 working days after request. These patients are known as DISPENSING PATIENTS.
All other patients can either collect the prescription from the surgery, to take to a chemist or we can send the prescription to Tarvin or Kelsall Chemist, where the patient can collect their medication. Please inform the surgery where you would like to collect your medication from.
