Our staff at Kelsall Medical Centre are all keen to provide you with the best service that we possibly can, with an emphasis on high standards, kindness, and equality. We are a small surgery, and work closely as a team.

Doctors

Dr Kylie Daniels MB BS (London, 2006). MRCGP, DRCOG. GP partner. Clinical lead in epilepsy, sexual health, and learning difficulties, with an interest in paediatrics.

Dr Claire Baker MB ChB (Liverpool, 1996). MRCGP. GP Partner. Clinical lead in child protection, and respiratory conditions.

Dr Aled Donovan MB ChB (Liverpool, 2010). MCRGP. Salaried GP. Clinical lead in cardiovascular disease and stroke, and diabetes. Performs minor surgery and cryotherapy.

Dr James White MB ChB, FRCA, MRCP(UK), MRCPE, MCRGP, DRCOG. Salaried GP with an interest in acute care and pain.

Dr Deborah McCarthy MB ChB (1995). Salaried GP with an interest in child health.

Administration

Jill Gore, Marion Moss, Helen Todd, Pauline Tolfree process all your referrals to hospital, all new patient information, and ensure all medical information, past and present, is recorded on the computer.

Katie Petty manages our Administration team to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

Receptionists

Sam Dawson (Reception Manager – part time) Helen Todd (Reception Manager – part time), Gill Alderman, Kath Brewer, Libby Briggs, Helen de Martino, Anita Edmond, Rachel Hopkins and Georgia Tolfree. 

Our Receptionists are the people who are normally your first point of contact with the surgery, and who help you work out the best way to access our services. Please be patient if you have to wait a little for attention as they have a difficult job to do, dealing with a constant stream of enquiries. When you telephone for medical attention, the Receptionists may ask you for some details. They have been trained to make these enquiries so that you can be helped in the most appropriate way with as little delay as possible. Confidentiality laws mean the receptionist needs to speak with the person who has the problem, please be understanding.

Attached to the Practice

District Nurses

Available to see you and to help with – Dressings, removals of sutures and injections; Advice and care of the acutely and chronically sick and the terminally ill; Advice on incontinence, supplying pads and other aids. They are in daily contact with the surgery and can be contacted via Reception.

Community Midwife – Julia Briscoe

Provides care and support for mothers before and after delivery, and care for the baby during the first fortnight of life, after which the Health Visitor takes over. Our Midwife holds regular Ante-natal Clinics at the Tarporley War Memorial Hospital.
