Contraception

Contraception advice is available from the Doctors and Practice Nurses.

Contraceptive injections are available on-site, and coils and implants are available at local centres.  Please make an appointment with the Doctor or Nurse to discuss these options.

Here is a link to local clinics that provide contraception and sexual health advice. Some are walk-in, others require an appointment: https://www.gosexualhealth.co.uk/clinics.htm

Emergency contraception

All women requiring emergency contraception will be offered an appointment with a GP, so they can be given a prescription within 72 hours of unprotected sexual intercourse. In the event they cannot attend surgery the patient will be counselled over the telephone and a prescription will be prepared.

Emergency contraception is also available directly from most local and national chemists.
